StronGER TOGETHER

'Our Pride—Stronger Together' is Sister Shack CIC's year-long LGBTQIA+ events programme. We are proud to have secured funding this year to carry out multiple events in 2025 and 2026, and we hope to continue this beyond those years (funding permitting).

In 2019, we saw a need for an alternative pride offering, and we hosted our first all-day Pride event in a venue in Newcastle upon Tyne. Due to the Global pandemic, we took our programming online, but we returned in 2022 when we hosted our second physical event at The Old Coal Yard. From the positive feedback received, we realised that these calmer and safer spaces are needed more than ever. In 2023, we held our most considerable pride with five days of programming, with six events in five different venues.

Thanks to your generous donations in 2024, we returned in 2024 with four days of events. We are truly grateful to everyone who supported us. Because of your support, we were confident in seeking funding for 2025/26, which was successful!
