Join Navii Media and Sister Shack for an enchanted evening of queer joy and unapologetic expression. Whether you bloom in glitter, velvet, sequins, denim, or something all your own, this is a night to show up as your fullest self.

Meet the Prom oRganisers

  • Hiya I’m Dami and the co-organiser of Queer Prom and founder of Navii Media. The idea for Queer Prom came about after my own secondary school prom wasn’t inclusive, I felt like I wasn’t myself and dreamed of one where I could be. After Navii Media received a successful funding bid in 2023, Tel and I could finally bring the idea of Queer prom to life and ensure we have a space to exist. This is our second year doing prom and we can’t wait to bring you Bloom Loudly! To know we can continue to bring these ideas to life is incredible! I can’t wait to celebrate with everyone!

  • Hiya. I am the founder of Sister Shack CIC. My work centres around social inclusion and change making. I organise several events in the North East of England, focusing on community inclusion and diverse and accessible spaces. Community and event organising are things that give me immense joy and fulfilment. I am so excited for our second Queer Prom in Newcastle.
