6 Hours Yoga Course for the Global Majority

You are warmly invited to join a grounding and empowering Yoga course created EXCLUSIVELY for the Global Majority. This course takes place over three sessions, each lasting two hours, and is designed to support a deeper connection with your body, mind, and soul through the philosophy and practices of yoga. You'll leave feeling grounded and connected with the world around you, and will take home new teachings and skills that you can apply to your daily life. Yoga is a way of life! 

Starting Saturday, 14th of June (the first block of the course will happen on the 14th of June, 28th of June and 12th of July - all 3 sessions will happen from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm). 

Course Schedule and Structure:

Session 1 – 14th June  11:30 am - 1:30 pm

Foundations of Yoga: Philosophy, Movement & Breath

  • Introduction to the Eight Limbs of Yoga - To introduce yoga as a holistic practice rooted in ancient wisdom, exploring its purpose beyond physical movement

  • Asana (physical practice) to embody the teachings - A grounding physical sequence focused on posture alignment, body awareness, and creating a sense of safety in movement.

  • Prāṇāyāma (breathwork) to calm and centre the mind - Introduction to calming breath techniques

Session 2 – 28th June 11:30 am - 1:30 pm

Deepening Practice: Movement, Breath & Meditation

  • Asana (physical practice) to cultivate strength and flexibility

  • Prāṇāyāma to balance energy

  • Dhyana (meditation) - Meditation for inner awareness

Session 3 – 12th July 11:30 am - 1:30 pm

Integration: Movement, Breath & Meditation 

  • Asana (physical practice) to support vitality

  • Prāṇāyāma to (breathwork) to calm and centre the mind

  • Dhyana (meditation) for inner awareness and help calm the mind

  • Guided journaling for reflection and integration - creative space for writing, drawing and contemplation

Each session is a space for rest, restoration, and reconnection. All levels of experience are welcome.


What to Expect:

  • Grounding inclusive yoga suitable for all levels

  • A focus on movement, breathwork, yoga philosophy, and tension release

  • A space of affirmation and community with others who share similar lived experiences

  • A supportive, inclusive environment tailored to the Global Majority

  • A cosy & warm studio equipped with all the props such as mats, bolsters, and blankets so you don't have to worry about bringing any of these.

What to Bring:

  • A water bottle

  • A Notebook and pen

  • An open heart and mind

Our mission is to create inclusive spaces where the Global Majority can reconnect with their bodies and feel empowered through movement and community. This is your chance to find stillness and support in a safe and affirming environment.

Please only sign up if you are committed to attend all three sessions as each session builds on what we learned in the previous one. You'll be reminded of the upcoming session before they happen. If you can't attend a session due to unforeseen circumstances, please let us know.
