Yoga Course From The Samadhi Nest and Sister Shack

6 Hours Yoga Course for the Global Majority

Each session builds on what we learned in the previous one. It's recommended that you attend all three sessions, however we understand that that might not be possible for everyone and we encourage you to attend at least 2 sessions (please attend the first session as this one is the base for the rest of the course). You'll be reminded before each session via email

Starting Saturday, 25th of October (the last block of the course will happen on the 25th of October, 8th and 22nd of November  - all 3 sessions will happen from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm).

Course Schedule and Structure:

Session 1 – 25th of October 11:30 am - 1:30 pm

Foundations of Yoga: Philosophy, Movement & Breath

  • Further exploration of the Eight Limbs of Yoga - To continue to explore yoga as a holistic practice rooted in ancient wisdom, exploring its purpose beyond physical movement

  • Asana (physical practice) - A grounding physical sequence focused on posture alignment, body awareness, and creating a sense of safety in movement - we'll be practicing Hatha Vinyasa Yoga in this block (this is suitable to all levels)

  • Pranayama (breathwork) to calm and centre the mind - We'll be learning new pranayama techniques such as Bhramari pranayama.

Session 2 – 8th of November 11:30 am - 1:30 pm

Deepening Practice: Movement, Breath & Meditation

  • Asana (physical practice) to cultivate strength and flexibility

  • Pranayama to balance energy - we'll be learning a new pranayama (Kapalbhati) and continue to practice techniques we've learned in previous sessions

  • Dhyana (meditation) for inner awareness and help calm the mind - we'll be learning and practicing Chakra meditation.

Session 3 – 22nd of November 11:30 am - 1:30 pm

Integration: Movement, Breath & Meditation

  • Asana (physical practice) to support vitality

  • Pranayama to (breathwork) to calm and centre the mind

  • Dhyana (meditation) - Meditation for inner awareness - we'll be learning and practicing Kundalini Meditation to help us be more aware of our bodies and senses.

  • Guided journaling for reflection and integration - creative space for writing, drawing and contemplation

Over the course of three 2 hour sessions, we will deepen our connection with the body, breath, and mind through the philosophy and practices of yoga. This course is a gentle yet powerful invitation to explore yoga as a holistic way of life, not just a physical practice.

Each session includes movement (asana), breathwork (pranayama), meditation (dhyana), and space for reflection, all within a supportive community of shared lived experience. You’ll leave feeling grounded, connected, and equipped with tools you can carry into everyday life. Yoga is a way of life!
