We’ve got some amazing prizes up for grabs at Our Pride social, kindly donated by local businesses, freelancers, sole traders and supporter. Every ticket you buy helps support the work we do at Sister Shack and helps us keep creating safe, joyful spaces for our community. We will now be donating 50% of the total to Basmat Wasl. We feel this is a much more pressing need.

Basmat Wasl is a Sudanese-led humanitarian organization founded to support families affected by war, displacement, and severe food insecurity across Sudan.

The organization currently operates 3 community kitchens in:

Omdurman
Al Qadarif State
Al Kadro

Together, these kitchens provide daily meals and food support to approximately 3,000–4,000 families each month. In addition to hot meals, Basmat Wasl also distributes emergency food supplies and essential groceries whenever additional funding becomes available
